Balthier is joining the Champion Summons in World of Final Fantasy

Square Enix announced at the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony, World of Final Fantasy will add Balthier from Final Fantasy XII as a Champion Summon as free downloadable content.

A release date was not announced, but the Balthier downloadable content will launch alongside Patch 1.03.

World of Final Fantasy is available now for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will launch July 11

Square Enix announced at the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony, that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will launch for PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on July 11, and in Japan and Asia on July 13.

Visual Improvements

  • High-resolution upgrades for backgrounds, character models, and all 2D parts including fonts
  • High-resolution upgrades for movie scenes
  • Introduction of current generation visual expression

Sound Improvements

  • 7.1ch surround support
  • High-quality voice support
  • English and Japanese voices (switch between them in the game configuration)
  • Original and newly re-recorded BGMs (switch between them in the game configuration)

Usability Improvements

  • Shorter load times
  • Auto-save functionality added

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia will launch February 1 overseas

During the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony, Square Enix announced that
Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia will launch for iOS and Android devices in Japan on February 1.

 

Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII was also revealed to be joining the game’s roster of Final Fantasy characters.

A Niconico live stream concerning Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia is planned for today at 21:00 JST.

Obtain powerful items that give you an advantage in battle and make them more exilharating with the “Booster Pack+” and “Booster Pack (Free Version).” One of the items is an suit that makes you invincible for 30 minutes. (It also boosts your fishing skills. After use, it cannot be used again for 24 hours.)
