Sad news today, Masaya Nakamura, who founded Namco in 1955, passed away on Sunday, January 22 at the age of 91
At the request of the deceased, Nakamura’s wake and funeral were held with close relatives, and the news of his death was withheld until after the services. A “Farewell Gathering” to remember Nakamura is planned for a later date.
Nakamura was born on December 24, 1925. He graduated from Yokohama National University in 1948 and established Nakamura Manufacturing in 1955 (now known as Bandai Namco Entertainment), which was renamed Namco in 1977. He became the president of Namco in 2002, and then senior advisor of Bandai Namco Holdings in 2005. In 2006, he became president of Bandai Namco Games (then known as Namco) and the newly-established Namco, before becoming honorary advisor of Bandai Namco Games (now known as Bandai Namco Entertainment) and Namco two months later. Nakamura was also an honorary member of the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a senior advisor to the Japan Amusement Machine and Marketing Association.
Arc System works has released Double Dragon IV for PC today. The publisher has announced a delay for the Japan Steam version because of “unforeseen circumstances”,
The game is still on track for release tomorrow for PS4, and will launch January 31 for Japan.

Origially launched for the PS Vita, Superbeat: Xonic is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this spring! The game will feature over 65 tracks with a range of music from K-Pop to R&B. The game will also feature DLC from the Vita version, plus more music as DLC.

Square-Enix has opened a teaser website for the announcement of a new fighting game for Japanese arcades call Million: Artur: Arcana Blood.
The game is due out in Japanese arcades this fall, and will be playable for the first time at Japan Amusement Expo 2017 from February 10 to 12.

If you didn’t know it already, Konosuba has returned for a second season as Konosuba 2 ,much to my excitement! It picks up right from where season 1 left off, Kazuma and the gang saved their town but now he is suspected of working for the Devil King due to his actions in the first season. Long story short and spoiler free, Kazuma and his group must now pay off a lot of debt and basically start over in terms of gathering riches.
So far there are 3 episodes in and can be watched on Crunchyroll or if you have VRV and the lunch combo subscription, you can watch it there too. I’m enjoying it so far and look forward to their adventures, how about you? are you watching? let us know!
