Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been Delayed to 2018

Koji Igarashi has added a new update to his kickstarter for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the spiritual successor to the Castlevania series.

Here is what Iga had to say;

“Things have been progressing with development for Bloodstained, but between our current production set-up and release deadline, I’ve realized that at this rate the game may not end up meeting my quality standards.

“I’ve decided to add a new development team to the main production and improve our approach so that we can keep the game fully on track for how I envision it. We’re in the process of securing these new developers. We will share more information with all of you soon.

“”While the release date is not yet set in stone, we’re aiming for the first half of 2018. I apologize for the wait. However, I’d like to emphasize that I made this decision to absolutely guarantee the game is done right the first time.

“I hope you’ll continue to support us as wonderfully as you have been. The last thing I want to do is keep our backers waiting, but after receiving such incredible support, I feel responsible for delivering the best product I possibly can. Again, I offer my sincerest apologies.”

Although the game has been delayed, Fans are still able to support the developement for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night at this link. Are you happy that Iga made this decision? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Review: 4 Sided Fantasy (Steam)

2D Portal with no portal gun. If I were to say that could you imagine it? Well don’t that is too simplified of an explanation for this game. 4 Sided Fantasy (4SF) is a puzzle game where you can almost teleport between landscapes in order to get to your destination. At the start of the game every time you switch between landscapes you switch between the girl and the boy characters.

If you think of pac man when he goes in one side then comes out the other, then this is that kind of game, you teleport between landscapes in order to climb up or fall down or whatever to the next, it starts pretty simply then it gets harder. I had to stop playing for a while and come back later in order to continue, I also broke the game a couple of times which was kind of frustrating.

Overall though this game is pretty fun and interesting, it reminded me of Journey a bit in that I didn’t know where I was going or if there even was a story to it. If you like puzzle games definitely give this one a try.

PS4 will have a Firmware Update for HDR Support

Along with Sony confirming the PS4 Pro, they announced that the standard PS4’s will receive a firmware update that will support HDR lighting.

This is actually really big news since this is an update to help players that bought the original PS4, rather than Microsoft’s news that their new hardware will only support HDR, leaving the original Xbox One behind with no support.
