Classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Beat-Em-Up is Heading to PS4 and Xbox One

Bandia Namco has announced Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle is Heading to PS4 and Xbox One January 2017.

Here is a quick overview:

Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle features levels that are reminiscent of classic episodes from the first two seasons of Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle TV show. The game enables players to select their Power Ranger of choice and level-up his or her abilities throughout the game as they fight grotesque enemies and bosses. Adept use of martial arts, weapons, and giant Megazord™ battles will play crucial roles in ensuring players’ victory against evil. Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle will also feature a robust local co-op multiplayer mode where players can combine their powers to execute special attacks and spectacular displays of martial arts power. By utilizing the game’s skill tree, players can use points to learn new moves and abilities.

  • CLASSIC POWER RANGER DNA INTACT: Morph, use weapons & martial arts, and summon the larger-than-life Megazord!
  • INTUITIVE & DEEP BATTLE SYSTEM: Includes light, heavy, weapon and projectile attacks. Players will be able to integrate weapon strikes into different combo strings!
  • LEVELING & CUSTOMIZATION: Players can level-up and unlock new moves, attacks and weapons.
  • UNLOCKABLE CHARACTERS: Unlock Tommy Oliver in his Green & White Ranger costumes as well as the human characters Rocky, Aisha, Adam & Kat from MMPR season 2!
  • NOSTALGIC: Each level is based on a classic episode from the TV series. The levels are fi lled with familiar dialogue, background details, cut scenes, and enemies pulled straight from the fi rst two seasons of the show!

A “Touhou Project” Fighting Game Will Be Released for PS4 in Japan

This is older news, but I am a fighting game fan, and missed this story last month. Plus with all of the recent Touhou games coming to the western shores this caught my attention. For players that don’t have a clue about the Touhou titles, they are usually “bullet hell shoot’em ups” that are very popular in Japan because of their extreme difficulty. Sometimes these titles are even mixed with other genre’s. So you can only imagine how hectic this title may be.

During Tokyo Game Show 2016 last month, Twilight Frontier’s Touhou Project fighter “Urban Legend in Limbo” was announced for Playstation 4 and had a pretty awesome gameplay trailer shown.

tt

Urban Legend in Limbo is currently available available PC and will be released for Playstation 4 in Japan December 8, 2016.No news on a North American release date, but I’m assuming with the localization of games for the current gen console, and the fighting game scene growing, this title will be coming over seas as well.

New Pokemon Go Update will Give a New Capture Bonus to Increase the Odds of Catching Rare Pokémon

Yesterday The Pokemon Go Team has released some great news for Pokemon Go Players. Pokemon Go will be receiving an update that will add a new feature which grants a catch bonus when you earn medals based on catching certain types of Pokémon.

The update states “For example, as you reach a higher tier for the Kindler Medal, your bonus to catch Fire-type Pokémon such as Charmander, Vulpix and Ponyta increases.” this will help Pokemon Go players with catching those rare Pokemon’s that they always had trouble capturing before.

You can read the full update from The Pokemon Go Team below:

Trainers,

We want to give you a sneak peek of a feature coming soon to Pokémon GO. We are adding a new feature which grants a catch bonus when you earn medals based on catching certain types of Pokémon (Kindler, Psychic, Gardener, etc.). These new bonuses will give you a better chance of capturing Pokémon with a related type. For example, as you reach a higher tier for the Kindler Medal, your bonus to catch Fire-type Pokémon such as Charmander, Vulpix and Ponyta increases.

Trainers can work their way to a new tier by catching many Pokémon of the same type. If a Pokémon has multiple types, your bonus will be the average of your bonuses for each type. For example, Pidgey is both Normal and Flying type. Your bonus in this case would be the average of your Normal-type and Flying-type bonuses.

Look forward to this new feature coming soon!
