Windows 10 VR

Today at a Windows 10 event, Microsoft shared a small bit of information on a line of VR headsets that it plans to release in the future.

The headsets themselves are being made so that they work with their partners HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus and Acer, the line would start at a low price of $299. The coolest thing about these is that they will have inside out six degrees of freedom sensors which means the headsets themselves will have sensors to warn you when you are too close too an object in the real world. Other headsets do not offer these sensors and require other pieces of equipment to warn you about real world objects.

Microsoft is trying to go beyond what is currently available by making the headsets work well with more affordable PC’s, meaning you won’t need a very high end PC to be able to enjoy whatever it is they will offer on their headsets. Finally they didn’t really mention the headset that will work with the Xbox One, but i’m sure its not too far behind.

Check out the New Characters from Blazblue Centralfiction

Blazblue Centralfiction is releasing next week, and with all your favorite characters returning plus some new faces joining in. Four of the newcomers will be; Naoto Kurogane, Hibiki Kohaku, Nine the Phantom, and Hades: Izanami.

You can check out the details below to learn more about these four new characters.

naoto

Naoto Kurogane
The protagonist of the novel, ‘The Bloodedge Experience’, Naoto mysteriously wields the Bloodedge, the same power that Ragna has. Naoto has been sent to the BLAZBLUE timeline by Raquel Alucard – a world in which he died long ago. Confused and lost, he tries to find a way home.
With a balanced playstyle, a sneaky ranged game and good, solid damage, Naoto is a great pick for the player who wants a character who has the tools to deal with any situation.

hibiki

Hibiki Kohaku
Hailing from a clan of assassins dedicated to serving the Mutsuki family, Hibiki is Kagura Mutsuki’s loyal assistant and the only reason any NOL admin work gets done in the city of Ibukido. Under his calm and cool exterior, a seething murderous intent drives him.

Hibiki is fast and slippery, with the ability to project his shadow as a projectile or as a teleport at will, he can pressure from many distances and change position on screen instantly. His ability to pressure the opponent with highs, lows and side switches will suit the player who likes to rush down his opponent.

phantom

Nine the Phantom
One of the Six Heroes who stopped the Black Beast from consuming the world long ago, the wife of Jubei and the mother of Kokonie, Nine was presumed dead for a long time before being revealed as the Phantom who served Hades Izanami. Driven mad by her experiences as the Phantom, Nine has her own plans for the world.

Nine has quick attacks, incredible range, a dash that teleports her around and even a full screen overhead projectile attack. Nowhere on the screen is safe from her attacks. Nine is a fantastic pick for the players who enjoy driving their opponents crazy with oppressive space control.

izanami

Hades: Izanami
Inhabiting the body of Saya, the sister of Ragna and Jin, Izanami is the former Imperator of the Novus Orbis Librarium and the one who had been pulling the strings of events up until this point. Izanami is an immortal being intent on granting ‘the gift of death to the world’. Discarding her co-conspirators, Terumi and Relius, as well as her title of Imperator, Izanami prepares her end game.

Izanami is a mix of pressure and zoning, with the ability to change her ‘mode’ between follow-up attack options and multiple projectiles. She’s hard to catch, with her ability to float and move around the screen in irregular ways. Izanami is an excellent pick for players who enjoy having lots of options and frustrating the opponent with unpredictable play.

More info on NieR: Automata’s battle system

NieR: Automata is around the corner, and some new info has come in to hype players up for the title. Square-Enix and Platinum Games have released new details and screenshot for NieR: Automata‘s battle system.

Stylish and Exhilarating Battles with Simple Controls

NieR: Automata is set in the distant future, when the human race fled to the moon, before the overwhelming strength of the machines dispatched by otherworldly invaders. Players will throw themselves into battle as YoRHa No. 2 Model B, part of a newly organized android unit meant to reclaim earth.

Weapons

One-Handed Sword

An easy to use weapon balanced in attack power, speed, and range. Combos are easy to connect with an abundance of technique variations. The weapon exhibits its effectiveness regardless of the battle situation.

Two-Handed Sword

A two-handed sword both heavy and big. It has tremendous power and long reach, but since its attack speed is slow and it’s easy to leave an opening, it’s important to use with caution.

Melee Weapons

Although their attack range is small, melee weapons are fast and allow for numerous attacks. Since it’s easy to continuously attack with them, their power is unmatched in one-on-one combat.

Basics of Battle

In NieR: Automata, battles play out seamlessly on the open world field. The Square button is your speedy attack and the Triangle button is your heavy attack. Depending on the buttons you input, the character will unleash attacks one after the other. It’s a simple and exhilarating battle system.

You can set your favorite pair of weapons, be it the one-handed sword and two-handed sword, melee weapon and one-handed sword, etc. to the speed attack and heavy attack buttons. You can have up to two weapon sets, and switch between sets instantly using the d-pad even in the middle of an attack. For example, if you’re in the middle of an attack using the one-handed sword and two-handed sword set, you can switch to the melee weapon and one-handed sword set while seamlessly continuing your attack.

Evasion

You can evade with the R2 button. You can evade at any time during battle, and by using the analog stick with the R2 button, you can do an evasion dash. These arc-like dodges are one of the features of this game, and can be seen in the previously released trailers. Additionally, if you successfully evade the moment an enemy attack hits, your body will change into a particle state and be invincible for a fixed time. You can connect exclusive techniques if you attack during this time.

Pods You Can Upgrade

You can use your Pod support system with the R1 button to gun down enemies from a distance. It will automatically line up its shots with the enemy, but you can also lock onto targets with the L2 button. However, the bullets will disperse to some extent in such a situation. By spending money and using materials, you can upgrade your Pod at the maintenance shops found all throughout the game. In addition to raising its basic abilities like attack power, you can also increase its attack variations.

An Auto Mode for People Bad at Action Games

NieR: Automata is an action game, but there is an “Auto Mode” for users who are bad at action games. By activating this mode, the character will attack and evade automatically. The player will win the battle as long as they move the character around. Auto Mode is restricted to the easy difficulty setting. You can also set the extent to which it is used, such as only for close-range or long-range attacks, or only for evasions.
