Smash Bros Inspired Game Sneak Peek at Evo 2016

Angry Mob Games has announced its new game Titled Brawlout, and any EVO attendee can get their hand on a sneak peek this weekend at the event. Brawlout is a platform fighter and will arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC early 2017. Read the details below.

Brawlout marks a return to the golden age of platform fighters. It draws on traditional fighting games to create a parade of fantastic fighting moves, and a vivid world all its own.

The platforming elements and win conditions were inspired by Super Smash Bros, while the various combat moves and ground combos were largely inspired by more violent fighters, like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, switching to a Looney-Toons sense of violence.

  • Online and local battles, with up to 8 player fights – Take part in online ranked tournaments, play locally in party mode with friends, or go solo in the story campaign.
  • Evolve and customize your characters – Each character starts out with more accessible attacks. You grow it with special attacks, new combo options, more movement abilities and advanced tech moves.
  • Vastly different combat styles – Each character is designed around a unique fighting style, to make each fight more strategic: grapple opponents, freeze them, dive kick their face, bomb them with projectiles or smash them with long range whips.
  • Rage meter – Powerful special attacks consume your rage meter. When filled up, your character gets much tougher.

Seven Knights Gets HUGE Update Today

Seven Knights, the free to play turn-based mobile RPG gets a huge BlazBlue inspired update. In collaboration with BlazBlue, Seven Knights will receive three new characters; Tsubaki Yayoi, Noel Vermillion and Ragna the Bloodedge. If you’re wondering whether or not to pick up Seven Knights and try it out, keep in mind that Netmarble also developed Marvel Final Fight. I personally logged into Final Fight every single day for nearly a year before I finally decided I didn’t have time for it. That’s how good Netmarble games are. Check it out.

BOID Now Available on Steam

BOID, the prettiest little RTS you ever did see, is now available now on Steam. The multiplayer is free (Which includes PVP and bot matches), but if you’re constantly getting your marbles rocked, there is an optional single player available for $7.99.

Unlike other RTS’, there are no resources to manage or funds to gain, you’re just thrown into the game with what you got and you have to make the most of it. A unique structure for an RTS sure, but a new flavor to the genre nonetheless. If you’re feeling lucky you can pick it up here. I mean damn, its free yo!

The Chernobyl VR Project gets HTC Vive release date

Developer Farm 51 has been hard at work creating an interactive documentary/game focused around the tragedy that happened at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in what is now Pripyat Ukraine. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Chernobyl, the biggest, nuclear disaster in history. Farm 51 is hoping to give players deeper access into the highly restricted area, and allow you to explore it for yourself.

An early-access version of the game has already been released for Oculus Rift, but the final version will release on August 30th and be available for both Vive and Rift. Highly recommend you check out Farm 51’s website to learn more about this new documentary/game hybrid.  http://www.chernobylvrproject.com/pl/
