The new entry to the series will feature 32 playable characters and will launch in Japan spring 2017 and early 2017 in NA for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
I am guessing the game will release worldwide the same date as Japan … or somewhere close at least. This is coming from what we gathered after a few words from the developers, but this is just speculations from our interviews.

Alot of news has come in from Gamescom 2016 for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution. First of they have revealed some Story Mode details, which you can read below.
Story Mode
TEKKEN 7’s engaging story mode is composed of several hours of gameplay (including side stories that players can unlock progressively). Not only can you play as the Mishimas in Story Mode, but there are other arcs that involve fighters outside of the Mishima clan, such as Claudio Serafino, and his group of exorcists. The Archers of Sirius are a group of exorcists who have been banishing supernatural entities from this world since ancient times. A highly secretive organization, its existence is unknown to the public. Although it is not known how their existence was revealed, the Archers of Sirius were suddenly approached by the Mishima Zaibatsu. They were heavy-handedly requested by the Mishima Zaibatsu to join their conglomerate, but naturally refused. This did not stop the persistent pressure from Mishima Zaibatsu, however.Eventually, the news of this approach from the Mishima Zaibatsu reached the de facto leader of the Archers of Sirius, Claudio Serafino. Determined to uncover the motives behind the Mishima Zaibatsu’s actions, Claudio begins to investigate the powerful conglomerate.
Following this interesting description of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution’s story mode, here are a bunch of images showing Claudio’s stage and one of Heihachi’s story mode costumes, that can be unlocked by playing through said mode. There’s also a few more images of Lee Chaolan.
Bandai Namco has also unveiled Lee Chaolan for the game as well, along with some screens of the story mode which include kid Kazuya, and young Heihachi, who will both be fully playable in the game. Be sure to check out the trailer below.
