■ An Epic Quest

A world with two kingdoms: the Emblian Empire, which wishes to rule all worlds, and the Askran Kingdom, which stands in its way.

You are a summoner with the special ability to call upon legendary Heroes from different Fire Emblem worlds. In order to save the Kingdom of Askr from destruction, join the Order of Heroes and face a never-ending challenge.

■ Intense Battles

Take part in strategic turn-based battles streamlined for on-the-go play with maps that fit in the palm of your hand! You’ll need to think hard about the advantages and disadvantages of each Hero’s weapon—and even evaluate the map itself as you battle. Lead your army with easy touch and drag controls, including the ability to attack by simply swiping an ally over an enemy.

■ Original Characters Meet Legendary Heroes

The game features numerous Hero characters from the Fire Emblem series and a few brand-new Heroes created by artist Yusuke Kozaki, known for his work on Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates. Some Heroes will fight at your side as allies, while others may stand in your way as fierce enemies to be defeated and added to your army.

■ Many Modes Let You Play Again and Again

In addition to the main story, there are many other modes where you can strengthen your allies, compete against other players, and more. Also, free and timely updates will continue to add new Hero characters, content, and other surprises to keep you engrossed with hours of additional gameplay.

  • Story Maps: The story brings together new Hero characters along with familiar faces from the Fire Emblem series. Lead your army to victory to save the Kingdom of Askr.
  • Training Tower: Engage in battle scenarios of varying difficulty that you can play over and over to earn rewards and experience (EXP) for your allies. Each time you take on these maps, the enemies and terrain change to offer a new challenge.
  • Arena Duels: Fight against your rivals around the world. Your high score and ranking will determine your rewards—items that can increase your Heroes’ abilities.
  • Hero Battles: Under Special Maps, discover various battle scenarios that are available for a limited time. Defeat the Heroes who oppose you to convince them to join you as an ally.

Battle together with your favorite Heroes, watch them grow, and enjoy an all-new adventure that opens up a path to the future.

■ What is Fire Emblem

The long-running hit Fire Emblem series comprises strategy / role-playing games with deep tactical elements and depth that increases with every move you make. As you progress through the story, you will meet and bid farewell to many allies.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is inspired by the 1992 original, reimagined on a grander scale. Fire Emblem Heroes is an original strategy RPG about two warring kingdoms in a bitter clash. As a summoner, players build their army by calling upon popular Fire Emblem heroes from worlds that span the breadth of the series. Players will wage tactical battles streamlined for on-the-go play and level up a mix of new combatants and legendary heroes. Some familiar hero characters will become allies, while others will become enemy generals. Players can enjoy the full majesty of tactical role playing on bite-sized maps designed to fit nicely on a smartphone screen, even when playing in short bursts. Players lead their armies with easy touch-and-drag controls, including the ability to attack by simply swiping an ally hero over an enemy. If they manage to defeat every enemy on a given map, victory will be theirs. The heroes are depicted in new art hand-drawn by a variety of illustrators, and their voices have been newly recorded. Beyond the main story mode, players can engage in other modes to strengthen their army or to compete against others. During the Nintendo Switch stream last week, we were introduced to Fire Emblem Warriors, a collaboration between Nintendo and Koei Tecmo.

Not much was said, but you can bet it will be the usual Dynasty Warriors hack’n slash style gameplay, but with several start from the Fire Emblem series. This title will be launching later this fall

Last of all, Nintendo has announced a new Fire Emblem game heading to the Nintendo Switch, which will be due out in 2018.

Not much is known of this title, just that it will be on the Switch, which gives more of a reason to buy one.

Be sure to watch the Fire Emblem Nintendo Direct below for full coverage of all of the titles, just incase you missed it.

More Nintendo Switch News!!

Yesterday night Nintendo showed us what they have in store for the Nintendo Switch, and since then there has been more news, some of which people really dislike.

First off, Nintendo’s online service as we found out, is not free it will be free to start but eventually we will have to pay for it. Along with this Nintendo is offering a free game to download every month, but unlike PS and Xbox, they aren’t letting you keep it its only free for that month. Many people dislike this, myself included, but maybe we shouldn’t be mad, maybe we are being spoiled by the likes of Sony and Microsoft. Personally in the end I don’t care, I probably won’t be using the Switch a ton if I buy it.

Second piece of news is the price and look of the Switch games, we know they will be cartridges and now we know they are going to be the standard cost that we are used to, $60. I think the cases look pretty neat, as in not cluttered and green/blue. We aren’t here for the cases though so who cares?

Anyway what are your guys thoughts on the Switch? are you going to be an early adopter or wait a few months after release? Personally I’m on the fence, we will see in a few months how I feel. Let us know in the comments your thoughts!
