Final Fantasy Brave Exvius reaches 5 million more players!

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius has reached over five million downloads worldwide (outside of Japan’s 6.5 million) only 30 days after it’s initial release.  To celebrate, Square Enix is giving players who log in between July 26th-July 30th a total of five rare Summon Tickets and 50 Metal Minituars.

The title has an expansive story line, high-quality CG animation, and appearances from classic Final Fantasy characters.

A look at the World of Final Fantasy Collector’s Edition

The World of Final Fantasy will hit stores this October! Square Enix has announced three different pre-order options for fans: The Collectors Edition, Limited Edition, and Day One Edition.

The Collectors Edition is presented as a pop-up book with 3D paper cutouts.  When opened you will find:

  • Physical game disc
  • 80-page hardback artbook
  • The original soundtrack
  • Three mini-figurines: Cloud, Lightning, and Squall
  • Extra digital content White Chocobo, Glow Moogle and Red Bonnetberry mirages, a Sephiroth summon, and Japanese voice-over option

The Collectors Edition is available on the Square Enix Online Store for $119.99.

The Limited Edition will include:

  • Unique packaging including physical game disc plus 24-page artbook
  • Extra digital content White Chocobo, Glow Moogle and Red Bonnetberry mirages, a Sephiroth summon, and Japanese voice-over option

The Limited Edition will be available at select retailers for $59.99

The Day One Edition will include:

  • Physical game disc
  • Extra digital content White Chocobo, Glow Moogle and Red Bonnetberry mirages, a Sephiroth summon, and Japanese voice-over option

Final Fantasy XIV has over 6 million players plus more news

Final Fantasy XIV has over 6 million cumulative players globally!

Today, Patch 3.35 was released.  The patch introduced Deep Dungeon: The Palace of the Dead.  Parties up to four can battle through an array of enemies, avoid traps, and tackle bosses to gain experience.  The maps are randomly generated with dozens of floors.  Every participant will start at level 1 and level up through a unique progression system.  Strengthen your gear through the journey and unravel the mystery of the Palace of the Dead.

In addition to the patch, a free login campaign is available for registered players that have not been active for 30 or more days before the campaign period.  The login period last a maximum of five days (after the initial login) between July 25th-August 30th.

Mobius Final Fantasy coming to Mobile devices

For those who never had the chance to experience Final Fantasy games on the intended console, Square Enix is bringing different Final Fantasy titles to mobile devices.  The next game to hit mobile devices will be Mobius Final Fantasy.

Mobius Final Fantasy is the story of a man who wakes up in Palamcia with no memory of his past.  On Palamecia, he is tasked with bringing hope to the world and unraveling a mysterious prophecy.

Mobius Final Fantasy is a free-to-play app.  Already available in Japan, it received the app stores “Best of 2015” award.  Preregistration is now open  and those who preregister receive  Final Fantasy X themed items such as Tidus’s weapon Brotherhood, a Yuna character card, and other special rewards for when the game launches.  Mobius Final Fantasy is available August 3rd on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Final Fantasy XV Package Art Revealed

With Final Fantasy XV around the corner, one question that popped up a few times to me after pre-ordering the game: Why is it that every site I look at for the pre-order has no official box art on their display art?  Square-Enix has finally released the final  packaging art for Final Fantasy XV as of today.  I have to say, it does not disappoint. You can check them out for yourself below.

Final Fantasy XV is set to release September 30th for PS4 and Xbox One.
