New details and trailer for Oddworld: Soulstorm

Oddworld Inhabitants has released new info and a new trailer their brand new game, Oddworld: Soulstorm.

Here is a quick overview, the new trailer and a video going over the details of the title.

A follow-up to the critically acclaimed* release of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, Oddworld: Soulstorm picks up from Abe’s genesis and directly follows on from the overthrow of RuptureFarms and the liberation of his blighted workmates.Having defeated Molluck The Glukkon, his former boss and RuptureFarms’ meanest inhabitant, Abe soon finds himself – along with 300 newly emancipated Mudokons – without food, water or a place to call home. Stranded alone in the desert, they find solace in a strange new brew – a delicious drink that has insidious ramifications for their newfound freedom.”There was a deeper, darker, and more sinister story that we never got to tell,” explains series creator, Lorne Lanning. “Soulstorm gives us the opportunity to flesh out more meat on the bones of an original spine, but re-tell the fable from a very different angle.”

“Abe has a long way to go and plenty more adversity ahead. Soulstorm is going to be a much heavier trip for him.”

Oddworld: Soulstorm will continue to chew up the themes of environmentalism, capitalism, consumerism and addiction that critics and fans found so engaging in the “AAA Indie” release of Oddworld’s last pensive platformer, New ’n’ Tasty.

“We can’t wait to show you what we’ve got planned for Soulstorm” says executive producer Bennie Terry.

“We think Oddworld fans are really going to dig what we’re brewing, and we’ve got some great surprises in store this time around we don’t think anybody’s going to predict,” he added. “I’ve been tasting it, and it’s definitely got twice the twisted flavor.”

Arika has released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming “Mystery Fighting Game”, revealing Doctrine Dark. If you don’t know who Doctrine Dark is, he was a playable fighter from the Street Fighter EX series.

Arika’s “Mysterious Fighting Game” is due out worldwide for PlayStation 4 in 2018. A playable beta / sever test will be held at the end of 2017.

MVCI Monster Hunter Reveal Trailer

Capcom has released the reveal trailer for the upcoming Monster Hunter character DLC for Marvel vs Capcom Infinite.

A monster hunter from Val Habar, the nomadic desert town that fused with Wakanda. Monster hunters are experts at tracking and taking down monsters using weapons and armor forged from monster parts including scales and claws. Hunters typically go by their given name, but this legendary hunter simply goes by Monster Hunter. She has been appointed as Black Panther’s right hand, a new tradition established to create harmony in the newly-formed nation of Valkanda and strengthen bonds in the fight against Ultron Sigma.

Monster Hunter fights with an arsenal of different weapons true to the Monster Hunter series, including a bow, dual blades, and a great sword. Always adapting to the situation, she can power up using the Tartarus Stampede and Demolisher Demon Dance hyper combos, giving her additional properties on her dual blade attacks and vastly improving her mobility. In addition, when used as one of her special moves, her great sword contains infinite hits of armor, easily soaking up any attacks that come her way. For those questing for a versatile character who can shoot enemies from afar while dealing heavy blows up close, Monster Hunter is here to make that quest complete.

Bandai Namco has released a new trailer and screenshots for the upcoming fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ at the Tokyo Game Show 2017, which features the newly added Android 21.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is due out worldwide for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in February 2018.
