Today during the Game Awards 2016, Nintendo released some more gameplay, and a new trailer for Zelda Breath of the Wild, releasing for Nintendo Switch, and Wii U.
The Nintendo Switch was announced earlier today, and like always we found out some more information on the product.
One of our Nintendo inside resource has given us list of everything that we can confirm about the Nintendo Switch:
Nintendo Switch uses cartridges for its games
Will be compatible with amiibo (if the game supports it)
Is not backwards compatible at all (No word yet on eshop support)
Can only play on one screen, either TV OR Switch
Unknown if Switch is a touchscreen
First party titles will be announced later
Third party titles will be announced by devs and pubs when they want
Unknown nvidia Tegra processor
Will support co-op multiplayer over 2 players if everyone has a Switch
The screen is the Switch, the box by the tv is only used for charging it and hooking it up to the tv
The controllers you use are called Joy-Con L and Joy-Con R, and the device you plug into is only meant for home use, (is not actually the controller, just controller dock)
