The Pokemon Bank/Poke Transporter have finally been Updated

Yesterday The Pokemon Company released something players have been waiting all this month for. Yes, The Pokemon Bank  and Poke Transporter have finally been updated as of yesterday night, and that’s not the only good news! Players who have the Pokemon bank will also receive a Z-Crystal for Mew after updating.

You can read all of the details below:

Pokémon Bank, the online service which enables players to withdraw and deposit to and from various Pokémon titles, has received a new update today making it compatible with the latest games Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon*. This means that it is now possible to bring Pokémon that do not natively appear in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon into the games so they can join you in battles and adventures.

This highly anticipated update even allows players to transfer their Pokémon from the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console games Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow into Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Previously hidden Pokémon parameters from these Virtual Console games like Abilities, Natures, Sp. Atk and Sp. Def will become visible after sending them over to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. All Pokémon sent this way will have some great individual strengths.

Two new features have been added to the Pokémon Bank in the update, the Pokédex and adventure records. The Pokédex feature will allow players to see information about Pokémon registered in each of the Pokémon series games that have been connected to Pokémon Bank in the National Pokédex. All information for Pokémon registered from past titles will now be available all in one place. The other new feature, Adventure Records, will allow players to look back on their adventures in the Pokémon series. Figures and stats like the number of Pokémon caught or the number of wild Pokémon encountered will be accessible from the saved data from each players previous Pokémon series games registered to Pokémon Bank.

When players deposit Pokémon into Pokémon Bank, they can receive Poké Miles relative to the number of Pokémon they deposit and how long they are deposited for. These Poké Miles can be received as Battle Points, which can be exchanged in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon for various items. This means that players who have already got many Pokémon deposited in their Pokémon Bank accounts from previous games may find themselves getting a great number of Poké Miles!

Finally, players who access Pokémon Bank during 25 Jan – 2 October 2017 will be able to claim a limited-time special Mewnium Z, the Z-Crystal for the Mythical Pokémon Mew, which cannot be obtained through normal gameplay**. By giving Mewnium Z to a Mew which knows the move Psychic, it will be able to use the powerful Z-Move Genesis Supernova.

Pokémon Bank is a subscription service which has an annual membership fee. For more information, including ways to claim the Mewnium Z, please visit Pokemonbank.com/en-gb .

*Pokémon Bank is compatible with the following Pokémon games: Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version, Pokémon Black 2 Version, Pokémon White 2 Version, Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon and the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow.
