I rarely get into anime that makes me sad more often than laugh; Akame ga Kill is an exception to that. It starts out so innocently and then…and then… you have to watch this -you will grow to love the characters.
The story basically follows Tatsumi and his friends who head off to the capital to try to make money for their poverty stricken village. As the story progresses Tatsumi joins the group Night Raid, a group working toward taking down the current puppet government.
The anime can get very bloody and very emotional in some parts, it had me feeling bad for both the good guys and the bad guys. You just gotta watch this if you need a break from the cheerful/happy animes out there.
