Review: Worms W.M.D.

Team17 is at it again with a new Worms title, but not just any Worms game, this is  Worms W.M.D. A Tactical Strategy multiplayer game with banana bombs, Holy hand grenades, and flying sheep!? Will this title live up its predecessors? Lets see what this game has to offer.

Visuals

Worms W.M.D. heads back to it’s roots, with the 2D animated look that started it all, and honestly, as a long time Worms fan, this is the art style that I learned to love. This 2D style is also very fluent with each of the stage backgrounds and is always funny to watch the  quirky animations that happen for the weapons. Worms W.M.D. looks good in my book, mainly because it started as a 2D game in the first place.

Gameplay

This has been the Worms title fans have been waiting for. The game introduces a lot of new mechanics that will have you battle with intensity. First off, Worms W.M.D. introduces the all new crafting feature. This allows players to craft weapons to make really quirky explosives, adding a new element to each battle. Along with the new weapons, the game also introduce Mechs, Helicopters, stationed weapons and Tanks, which is one of the keys to this title. These feature make the game feel new and fun, something the Worms series really needed after adding the 3D titles to the franchise. You will find hours of fun with Worms W.M.D. I highly recommend this title to any fans and new players.

Verdict

This is a must play title for anyone who love turn based games, and Worms fans. It finds it way back to the roots that made Worms fun, and has many challenges for players to keep going at it for hours.
