Square Enix has unveiled its Project: RISING smartphone game teased last week to be Samurai Rising, an “extreme action RPG” due out this spring in Japan. Pre-registration is currently live at the game’s official website.
The battle between organic and processed foods moves to the next level in Organic Panic!Play as fresh organic vegetables and get past the evil meat and cheeses in this new 2.5 puzzle platform. Your objective: destroy all enemies, collect the diamonds, and make it to the exit!
Story The story, which is told through a series of comics, follows organic fruits out to destroy the evil processed food franchise. However, the story isn’t really a central part to the game, but rather gives the playable characters a back story so you never wonder, “Why the hell am I playing as a carrot that shoots fire?”
Gameplay
Gameplay is the best feature of the game. The DAFT (Destruction and Fluid Technology) physics engine allows you to interact with the environment as a real world environment. Ice melts, lava will burn you, and enemies will drown if you fill the stage with water. The DAFT element adds more depth to the puzzles because everything is destructible which can, of course, work for or against you. Each puzzle is well thought out and introduces new elements to the game with each stage. You can switch your character, figure out how to get two characters across the stage, leap through portals, and so much more!
A variety of modes are also available in the game. You can play solo or with up to four friends. In co-op mode you work with your friends utilizing each unique character ability to reach the end. The more you learn your character, the easier it is to work together and clear the stage. Or, you can duke it in the VS mode, finding fun ways to blow each other up.Of course, you may not be friends by the end of the night, but that’s a risk you take every time you play against each other in any game.
Visuals Visuals are reminiscent of Worms and Lemmings.Graphics take on a nostalgic essence and are an excellent mix between 3D and 2D.Stages generally feel small, but the obstacles challenge you to think of how to best use the course and character.Items, power ups, and obstacles stand out well enough for you to figure your way through each puzzle.
Verdict
If you love puzzle games, this is definitely one to add to your collection. Beginning levels teach you how to play the game and gradually increase in difficulty.Once you’re a pro, you’ll find yourself wanting to go back to complete the level or beat your score. It’s not game that keeps you on edge, but it’s a great way to waste time. If I could ask for anything more from this game, I’d ask for a creation mode where I can create my own puzzles. But hey, there’s always Mario Maker, right?
You can find Organic Panic! on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Steam. Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think!
You heard the myth’s, but this is how you actually capture a Mew
Remember when you were you first had your hands on the first Pokemon titles, and all of the numerous rumors that people said were in these games as well. Some of these rumors were, Missing No. deleting your save data, some how catching a Yoshi, holding B helps your success rate on capturing Pokemon’s, and of course, encountering a Mew under the truck by the St. Anne. Well of course all of these were just rumors, until recently.
Now there is a possible way to capturing a Mew, founded by coders. All you have to do is follow these easy steps. (Yes, these work on the 3DS’s Virtual Console Versions as well)
Yes, believe it or not, it can be done without a GameShark or other cheating device. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
Restart your game and play until you get HM02 Fly from the house west of Celadon City.
DO NOT fight the following trainers:
The Youngster with a Slowpoke (Level 17) on the road to Bill’s house (Route 25). He is the fourth trainer after you cross Nugget Bridge, standing directly above a female trainer and facing north.
The Gambler with two Poliwags and a Poliwhirl (all Level 22) between Lavender Town and Saffron City (Route 8). He is standing just east of the entrance to Saffron City, facing north toward the door of the Underground Path.
Now carefully follow the series of steps illustrated below.
1. Make sure you have a Pokémon that knows Fly. On Route 8, stand in front of the door of the Underground Path. Save your game, since saving after this point will disrupt the procedure.
2. Walk down one step and immediately press Start. If you succeed, the menu will pop up before the Gambler “sees” you. Go to the Pokémon list and fly to Cerulean City.
3. The Gambler will see you just before you fly away.
4. Your Start button will no longer function. Go north across Nugget Bridge and head east until you find the trainer in this picture (he’s the Youngster described above).
5. If you walk right up to the Youngster, the game will lock up, so you’ll have to let him see you and walk up to you. Defeat his Slowpoke (afterwards, your Start button will work again), then fly to Lavender Town. 6. Head west into Route 8. 7. As soon as you enter the narrow path, the menu will pop up by itself. Press B to exit… 8. …and look who it is! Mew will be at Level 7 and its only attack will be Pound. Pokéball, go!
And there you have it, a level 7 Mew of your own to show off and train. Below there is also a video of more glitches and an alternative way to capture a Mew for Blue/Red/Yellow, be sure to check them out as well.
