Allison Road developers finally make a statement about the games cancellation, although, we can’t really figure out why it was cancelled.
Hi all, After a long consideration between Team 17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team 17’s Game label.Sometime things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity… We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support through-out, it has and will always be appreciated.
I’m still hoping Lilith Ltd. will continue without Team 17, but something tells me this adventure style horror is another dead project.
Yet another horror game dies mid production. Lilith Ltd announced on Twitter that the production of Allison Road has been cancelled.The “spiritual successor” of Kojima’s P.T., Allison Road gave fans hope of seeing another survival horror come to fruition.As of yet, we are not sure why the game was cancelled but a statement should be released within the next few days.
Allison Road had its initial launch on Kickstarter, but ended the campaign when Team 17 picked up the publishing rights. The plot of Allison Road follows the protagonist (you) who wakes up one day without any recollection of what happened.You have five nights to discover the whereabouts of your family, learn the mysteries of the house, and face dark entities residing in the house.
I was excited to see another survival horror game, especially since P.T. still gives me the chills every time I play it, but it looks like we’ll have to see if someone else will pick up the torch.
